Top 3 Takeaways from the Poultry Science Association annual meeting

On July 10-13, Once by Signify's research team attended the 2023 Poultry Science Association's annual meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The seminars and poster presentations shared the latest unpublished scientific research on poultry.

Three key takeaways from PSA 2023:

  1. Poultry lighting research is on the rise and is becoming more sophisticated with advanced lighting control technologies
  2. Optimal lighting conditions are dependent on a multitude of factors including poultry breed, housing type, flock age
  3. Molecular studies are revealing "bottom-up" mechanisms by which environmental factors influence physiology and welfare of poultry.
