UK Offers Poultry Farmers grants to improve their lighting

The UK Government Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2024 is a great opportunity for farmers to access funding for eligible items that can improve their animal health and welfare. One such item that is eligible for the grant is the FETF316POU LED light for poultry housing. This item is new for 2024 and is expected to be in high demand among poultry farmers.

The FETF316POU LED light for poultry housing is designed specifically for use in poultry housing and has a number of important specifications that must be met in order to be eligible for the grant. These specifications include being flicker-free, dimmable, having a minimum rating of IP66, and being able to emit warm white light as well as red or blue light.

The Once by Signify, NatureDynamics, dynamic lighting solution meets the requirements.

NatureDynamics lighting system is a wireless system that can be controlled by a smart phone or barn computer. It offers patented light recipes that can help manage a flock and is fully backed by science and research.

Poultry lighting is expected to be around £52 on average, and farmers can apply for a grant of up to 50% of the cost, or £26. This makes the lighting system an affordable option for farmers who want to improve their poultry housing and meet the requirements of the FETF grant.

Applications for the animal health and welfare grants in England are expected to open soon (Expected timing is March 2024), and farmers will have just 6 weeks to apply for funding once the application is open. With the NatureDynamics Lighting System meeting the eligibility requirements for the FETF316POU LED light for poultry housing, it is a great option for farmers who want to access funding for this important item.
